 Advanced Descriptive Analysis

This 3 day course is designed for experienced panel leaders or administrators from all consumer product industries. Ideal for professionals who wish to

  • discuss challenging issues encountered with an established panel and advanced descriptive analysis topics, and
  • improve their current descriptive programs and/or practices.

Prerequisite: Have trained a descriptive panel or have worked with/managed a descriptive program

A few of the topics/issues addressed are:

  • Challenging panel issues: panel/group dynamics, panel feedback, motivation and maintenance, and complex panel (or panelists’) scenarios
  • Relevant topics re QUALITATIVE component: Different descriptive lexicons, singular/complex attributes, references, etc.
  • Relevant topics re QUANTITATIVE component: Different scaling methods and scales, issues in the use of quantitative/intensity references, etc.
  • Descriptive project flow. Discussion of all the steps from team meetings to panel feedback. Are you effectively completing each step?
  • Issues involved in tackling new products and new product dimensions by an established descriptive panel
  • Adding panelists to the existing panel pool. Issues and recommended practices
  • Application of descriptive analysis beyond R&D. How to benefit other projects, groups and interaction within and outside your company (clients or suppliers)
  • Case studies
  • Group discussions and interaction

These and other relevant topics will be addressed in this three day workshop.
