 Courses in Sensory Evaluation and Consumer Science have
been offered for over 30 years by IRIS: International Resources for Insights and Solutions, LLC (IRIS).

These courses and workshops in Sensory Evaluation are taught as public and in-house short courses.

 

Through training programs, workshops and short courses, seminars, and publications, IRIS has been an influential key contributor in the continuing education of both domestic and international professionals in sensory evaluation and consumer science.  

IRIS offers on-site staff training programs, as well as several focused public courses. 

      • →  IRIS’ Public workshops/short coursesin diverse sensory science and consumer research/testing topics are offered once a year. Participants have the opportunity to interactively learn relevant concepts from the instructors and other participants. Lectures, demonstrations and open discussions foster a rich environment for learning, participating and sharing experiences.
      • →  IRIS’ on-site staff training programsare tailored to the needs of the professional group/client or individual.  They can cover any topic in the field of sensory evaluation, consumer research and data analysis and interpreatation for sensory and non-sensory professionals.  These workshops are designed with the desired breath and focus to meet the client’s specific needs.
        Additionally, IRIS’ public workshops in sensory evaluation, consumer research and data analysis and interpretation can also be offered in-house and modified to meet the client’s specifications and staff training needs.   Modifications include focus/selection of material on one topic, selection of a variety of topics, discussion and demonstrations focused on company’s products, manufacturing conditions etc., tailoring and teaching same topic to diverse audiences, etc.
