The ASTM International Award of Merit is the highest society award granted to an individual member for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM Committee activities.

Ale Muñoz received the ASTM E18 Award of Merit in October 2012 for her long and productive service to Committee E18 on Sensory evaluation.

She was recognized for serving as Chair of E18 07 and for providing outstanding service, leadership\, professionalism and long term dedication to the committee.
